November Public Telescope Viewing
The UPEI Physics Department and the RASC (Royal Astronomical Society of Canada) will host a public telescope viewing November 21th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, weather permitting. If the sky is overcast or it is raining, this event will be canceled until the next regularly scheduled session on January 16th (no viewing in December).
March Public Telescope Viewing
The UPEI Physics Department and the RASC (Royal Astronomical Society of Canada) will host a public telescope viewing March 20th, from 8:00 to 10:00 pm, weather permitting. If the sky is overcast or it is raining, this event will be canceled until the next regularly scheduled session on April 17th.
Veterinarian pioneer Dr. Stephen Ettinger to deliver guest lectures
Author and editor of the "Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine," Dr. Ettinger will deliver two lectures on Wednesday, Oct. 28. "What's Next: Opportunities, pearls and pitfalls of newly graduated veterinarians" will take place in Lecture Theatre A at 12:30 pm, followed by "It's not about the book: a perspective on real-life veterinary practice" at 7:00 pm in Lecture Theatre A.

RBC executive gives public talk about Canada's economy
Doug MacGregor, chairman and co-CEO of RBC Capital Markets, will give a public talk entitled Canada's Economy and Canadian Banks' Performance through the Financial Crisis and into the Recovery in the Alex H. MacKinnon Auditorium (Room 242), McDougall Hall at UPEI on Thursday, October 29, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Tours of McDougall Hall and a reception in Schurman Market Square will follow the lecture. All are welcome.

"Bright Star" a film about John Keats presented by the English Society on Friday, November 20 at City Cinema. Doors open 3:30 p.m. for a 3:45 show.
